I’ve learned so much in the last couple of years about wood working and “building like a girl”. My crafty friend Heather got me on the building kick by showing me how to properly use a miter saw. Before I knew it, My Christmas lists were nothing but Ryobi tools and safety gear. With the help of Shanty 2 Chic and Ana White tutorials, I’ve gotten the courage and knowledge combo to create just about anything!
The walls on our new home are still beige and bare for now. I’ve been slowly gathering meaningful art and photos to hang up but haven’t been able to find reasonably priced frames I like. So, I made some of my own!
This little rustic frame took an afternoon, a 1×2 common board, some glue, nails, and a bit of walnut stain (all under $10). It fits an 8×10 print I ordered on Etsy from Patent Prints, I just stapled the print to the frame from the backside. I lOVE these type of prints, so I ordered a bunch. They fit our style perfectly and are gonna be scattered thru ought the house.
